Healing Touch: Restoring Balance and Vitality
International Certification as a Healing Touch Practitioner (CHTP)
I am an Iowa City native, formerly a teacher in the Iowa City Community School District. My roots here go deep and I’m excited to provide in-person Healing Touch!
Located within Acupuncture of Iowa in Iowa City, I offer professional, non-invasive sessions designed to support your body’s natural ability to recover from stress, manage pain and maintain a sense of calm.
What is Healing Touch?
Healing Touch is a relaxing, heart-centered therapy that uses gentle, light touch (or near-body touch) to balance the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. It is practiced in over 100 hospitals across the country as a "biofield" therapy that works alongside conventional medicine.
My goal is to help you release the physical tension of daily life, renew your internal energy stores and radiate a sense of quiet strength.
Why Choose Healing Touch?
Clients often seek a Healing Touch session to address:
Stress Management: Lowering the "fight, flight, freeze" response and encouraging deep relaxation.
Physical Recovery: Aiding the body’s healing process after injury, or illness.
Emotional Resilience: Creating a peaceful space to process life’s challenges.
Wellness Stewardship: Maintaining your energy levels so you can continue to care for yourself, your family, your work and your community.
Surgical Support: Supporting the body’s healing process before and after surgery.
Cancer Treatment Support: Assisting the body’s healing process during and after interventions such as chemotherapy and radiation.

Each session is tailored to your unique needs. We begin with a brief consultation to discuss your goals, followed by a Healing Touch session while you remain fully clothed on a comfortable massage table.
